Sometimes (most of the time?) things don’t go as planned. If there’s one constant in life, particularly in the world of startups, it’s change. And last week there was a big change in my life. I’m no longer at VarageSale.
I’m now going to take a bit of time (to relax, catch up on things, hang with my family) and figure out what I want to do next. I honestly don’t know what I’m going to do. I won’t be jumping into anything quickly, but I will be speaking with and meeting as many people as I can to see what’s out there. I know there are lots of awesome opportunities, I just have to figure out what they are. I’ll be staying in Toronto, but I’m open to talking to people, startups, companies, etc. that aren’t based here.
If you’re working on something interesting, let me know. My email is byosko@gmail.com. You can find me on Twitter and LinkedIn as well.
As well, a lot of other great people were let go at VarageSale last week across all departments (engineering, product, design, growth, marketing, etc.) If you’re looking for people to join your company, a list was compiled here: http://bit.ly/201iMDm.
Things at VarageSale ended abruptly for me, but I’m fine (in case you’re wondering). I’m incredibly excited to figure out who I’ll work with next and what I’ll dedicate myself to going forward.
